How to increase the level of your cards efficiently

Do not use cards of 1*, because they increase only slightly the level of your card and you will spend a lot of GP for that.
Use cards of the same element to increase the level of your card. Example: If you are increasing the level of the Selkie (water element), use only cards of water element too.
